Comhairle na nÓg are child and youth councils in the 31 local authorities of the country, which give children and young people the opportunity to be involved in the development of local services and policies.
This is Comhairle na nÓg’s Cork city’s current campaign and project called
Turning Tides Campaign
At last year’s AGM of Comhairle na nÓg Cork city the young people had a range of topics to discuss and they each had to vote on their top priority topic at the end of the afternoon. A huge majority of youth voted on the topic of suicide as the one which CNN should work on as their project.
